Former policeman and now the owner of a private detective agency, Nathaniel Rozovsky (formerly a repatriate from the USSR) again unravels the most mysterious crimes. The detective's specialization is well known: he deals with cases of repatriates from Russia. In the novel “The Murderous Masquerade,” Rozovsky is faced with a sophisticated crime, in which the history of ancient Byzantium echoes. As always with Daniel Kluger, we have before us modern detective stories built in the classical spirit: mysterious crime - investigation - brilliant deduction of the detective - unexpected denouement. And as always with D. Kluger, every novel has an interesting historical subtext.
