The short story “Drama in Mexico” belongs to the early prose works of Jules Verne. There is everything here: the machinations of villains, a mutiny on a ship, the murder and punishment of murderers, attempts to sell stolen ships, the land adventures of the rebels. Jules Verne managed to combine an adventurous plot with educational geographical information, and - most importantly! - I was lucky with the choice of a creative manner, which is based on the combination of a fascinating plot and a certain set of scientific data, presented in an entertaining and appropriate manner. Here the reader has the opportunity to evaluate the writer’s first steps along the path that led him to world fame.
