The more science studies the human psyche and behavior, the less room there is for myths. One of these myths was the so-called “human instincts” - certain innate mechanisms that determine his behavior and preferences. Many books have been written seeking to prove that man is also an animal, and therefore has instincts. There are far fewer books proving the opposite. Based on an array of scientific research over recent decades, this work shows that humans do not and cannot have any innately specified behavioral properties. “Human instincts” are a myth.
