Every weekend for the past month, a painter comes to this house with a bucket of white paint and goes up to the same room to paint over the drawings on the walls. And why did this guy, Niko, not like the paper? Of course, at sixteen many people rebel against their parents, but why spoil the walls? The painter finishes his work and goes down the stairs, feeling the heavy gaze of the teenager on his back - he is looking either after him or at the gloomy father waiting at the door. “See you later,” says the painter. He knows that he will be back in a week. Only three people can understand Niko: his best friend Leo, his girlfriend Claudia and his art teacher Dali. Only a marker on the wall can express his feelings. But soon red paint will burst into Niko’s black and white world. It will soon become clear that dangerous games are not a display of strength. That asking for help is not a sign of weakness. And the hero will have to look inside himself - as if into the eyes of a wolf. Italian writer Gabriele Klima (born in 1967) is already known to Russian readers from the book “The Sun Through Your Fingers.” He often raises social issues in his works aimed at teenagers and speaks on equal terms with young readers about social inclusion, mental health, physical disabilities, migration - and does it masterfully. The novel “The Wolf Room” became a finalist for the ORBIL award in the “young adult” category. The YA (young adults) series brings together books that could only be written today—edgy, irreverent, challenging novels for readers 16 and older. The series was designed by the famous designer, co-founder of the Typomania festival Alexander Vasin.
