Henri Troyat is the pseudonym of Lev Tarasov. He was born in Moscow into an Armenian family in 1911, and has lived in France since 1917. Henri Troyat became a popular writer, he is the winner of several honorary literary prizes, including the Goncourt (for the novel “Spider”, 1938). Critics called A.
