Henri Troyat (b. 1911) pseudonym of Grigory Tarasov, who was born in Moscow into an Armenian family. Since 1917 he has lived in France, where he became a famous writer, laureate of the Goncourt Prize, and member of the French Academy. Among his books are biographies of Pushkin and Dostoevsky, L.
