The 2000s in Russia ended after the “castling” in September 2011. There were no more forks. The country has moved towards what many are inclined to consider its destiny... But great things are usually seen from a distance. Living within an era, it is more difficult to understand causes and consequences, and most importantly, to predict the consequences. The hero of the novel tries on the images of an official, a political strategist, and a journalist. Ironically, he learns from those he despises and feels that he is becoming like them. Runs forward just to stay in place. The denouement comes on the same day as the historical statement made on the imperious “Olympus”. Contains obscene language.
