Among the Russian emigration, Harald Karlovich Graf (1885–1966) was known not only as a former senior officer of the destroyer Novik, captain of the 2nd rank, participant in the Russo-Japanese, World War I and Civil Wars, but also as an author the famous book “On Novik”. The Baltic Fleet in War and Revolution,” published in Germany in 1922. The success of the book was phenomenal. It was read by ordinary people, former officers of the Russian army and navy, grand dukes, and liberals of the Russian diaspora. Even teachers of Soviet military academies and employees of the OGPU on duty read it... In the proposed edition, the reader will become acquainted with the second and final part of G.K.’s work. The column entitled “Death of the Fleet” by the author. It covers the period from the events on the eve of the 1917 revolution until the death of Admiral Kolchak. The author describes in detail the prevailing atmosphere and the tragic events that took place in the Baltic Fleet in 1917–1918.
