The central characters of three plays by Elfriede Jelinek, which made up the collection “Illness, or Modern Women”: “What happened after Nora left her husband, or the Pillars of Society”, “Clara S.” and “Illness, or Modern Women” - women of vibrant individuality who existed in reality or in literary texts of past centuries. By the will of the author, the heroines are immersed in the context of modernity - sometimes harsh and ugly, and sometimes transformed beyond recognition and absurdity. The heroine of this play is Nora from "A Doll's House" by G. Ibsen.
