The leitmotif of A. Belkin's poetry is a call for the revival of Slavic traditions, which should form the basis of the modern Russian idea. Hence the pathos of opposition and exposure in many of his works. Departure from primordial cultural roots, various types of borrowing (from the Christian religion, the Gregorian calendar to cultural and linguistic cripples) led to Russia turning away from its ancestral path, giving birth to entire generations of “those who do not remember kinship.” Cut off the root and the tree dries up. Isn’t the Russian people becoming such a withering tree today, without which there is no Russia itself? Meanwhile, the treasury of Slavic spirituality is alive, and the Russian Renaissance, a way out of the cultural and moral impasse is possible only through the return of one’s own “self.” A person who has realized his roots, absorbed the culture of his ancestors, will begin to acutely feel the difference between good and evil, will not be able to destroy the world around him, feeling himself to be an integral part of it, his consciousness will expand, half-forgotten words will appear in his language, the world will sparkle with new colors. “Return to the fundamental principles - / Be like children, and then / In the sky will flash again / Not the same, but a wonderful star.” The collection includes poems from 2015 – early 2016, the tetralogy “Svarog’s Ladder” and the hexalogy “Trigor”.
