Jerzy Kosinski (1933-1991) is a writer of unusual fate, who has known a mind-blowing rise and a terrible fall, noisy fame and scandalous revelations. He created a myth out of his biography - and ultimately became a victim of this myth, turning from the darling of American criticism and the reading public into an outcast.
