The book “The Fundamental Myths of Israeli Politics” was published by the French writer, philosopher and political activist Roger Garaudy in 1996. He published it at his own expense and designated it in Latin letters as “SAMIZDAT” in the imprint. In this study, the author examines official history, analyzes and reveals the most common myths of Israeli politics. Garaudy argued that this is “not a work of history, it is a political book. My goal was to show that Israeli policy - as an instrument of American policy - leads to war." In the book, Garaudy questions the fact of the Holocaust - the total extermination of Jews during the Second World War. "I respect Judaism... but the Nazi Holocaust is a myth that has become a dogma that justifies Israeli and US policies in the Middle East and around the world..." Garaudy writes. According to the author, “history, without exaggeration, can itself fulfill the role of an accuser better than myth. First of all, it does not reduce the scale of actual crimes against humanity, which cost the lives of 50 million people, to the pogrom of just one category of innocent victims, while millions died in arms fighting against this barbarity." Garaudy renounced proprietary copyrights for the book, inviting all interested publishers in the world to publish it without claiming royalties.
