A random phrase said by Marina Tsvetaeva during an interrogation by the French police in 1937 led researchers to the name of Nikolai Poznyakov, a poet who studied at the Moscow Polivanovskaya gymnasium not only with Sergei Efron, but also with V. Shershenevch and S. Shervinsky. Poznyakov - participant in the anthology "Circular Bowl" (1913); during the war he worked for the Red Cross; later he went into exile, where he published a collection of poetry, and also... became a Soviet agent, photographer, “Parisian presence.” Like Tsvetaeva and Efron, in the late 1930s. he left for the USSR, was repressed in 1948 and was remembered only as a translator from ancient languages (co-author of S.V. Shervinsky in the translation of “Antigone”). The Shervinsky archive contains notebooks with poems by Poznyakov; together with the Berlin book, they made it possible to prepare a literary “resurrection” of the poet - the heir of other “Polivanovites” (Bryusov and Voloshin, Bely). Another “missing page” of Russian poetry of the Silver Age comes to the reader.
