Dario Fo (Born in 1926) is an Italian playwright, Nobel laureate in 1997. Dario Fo worked a lot in collaboration with his wife, Franca Rame. Plays about the position of women in the modern world especially attracted her attention. Their main theme is the struggle for the liberation of women, liberation from the power of prejudices that reign in society, from the power of the husband in the family, the fight for a woman’s right to rebel against humiliating conditions of existence, for the right to control her own destiny.
