It examines the history of Spain from the end of the 3rd century. until 711–718 At this time, Spain was first part of the Late Roman Empire, then it was subjected to invasions by barbarian peoples, and later independent barbarian kingdoms were formed on its territory - Suevian and Visigothic. Much of this period corresponds to the history of the Visigothic kingdom. The book is the first in Russian literature to present the history of Spain on such a time scale.
