Russian American poet of the first wave of emigration Georgy Golokhvastov is the author of numerous poems (primarily in the semi-sonnet genre) and the grandiose poem “The Death of Atlantis” (1938), published in Russia in 2008. The book includes works that were not published during the author’s lifetime from his collection, kept in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Department of the Columbia University Library, as well as a translation of “The Tale of Igor’s Campaign” and Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poem “Renaissance.”
