This story begins in Canada, in a small town where an autistic boy lives in a private boarding house. Two women work with him, trying to bring him back into human society. But something in the boy’s behavior has changed, and he secretly runs away from everyone. Rescuers search for the boy for several days, and suddenly find him sitting on a rock near the bay. After returning to the boarding house, a psychologist working with an autistic boy discovers strange drawings in his bag. The answer to these drawings lies in an ancient curse, which is associated with long-standing events in the Faroe Islands, located at the same latitude as the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
