Recently, the word “karma” has firmly entered into everyday life and at the same time has almost lost all meaning: the concept is used everywhere and in a variety of meanings. But we are talking about the main principle of human existence in this world... This book is designed to bring order to the chaos of ideas about karma. The author presents the concepts of karma in historical sequence: the origin of the idea of karma in Ancient India and the construction of theories of karma in various philosophical schools; transfer of ideas about karma to the West and their further transformation; attempts to instill a culture of “karmic vigilance” in modern Russia.
