Vladimir Nabokov's dream diary published for the first time with comments and an article by one of the largest researchers of the writer's work.
On October 14, 1964, Vladimir Nabokov began a curious experiment. Over the course of eighty days, he recorded his dreams, following the instructions of the British philosopher John W. Dunn. The goal was to test the theory that a later event is reflected in an earlier dream. The result was this unique diary, in which Nabokov recorded sixty-four dreams (and subsequent daytime episodes) on 118 cards. Revealing an unknown aspect of Nabokov's fascination with the nature of time, they show his surprising openness to new ways of thinking.Ivan Limbach Publishing
