Catalonia, the city of Girona, 1978. A provincial town in which an invisible line runs the border between respectable residents and “charnegos” - newcomers from other parts of Spain who have come here in the hope of a better life. A young man from the “decent” part of the city, Ignacio Cañas was once a member of a youth gang led by the famous robber Serco. 20 years later, Ignacio is a well-known lawyer in the city, and Sarko is safely packed in prison. A woman from the former company of Sarco and Ignacio, Tere, comes to ask for him - supposedly Sarko has repented and is ready to become an exemplary citizen. The weight of responsibility falls on the successful lawyer: Tere is his first love, and Sarko is his former friend and protector from his evil peers. But the past is an insidious thing: just give in to sentimental memories, and the ghostly thin nets will turn into steel chains...
