The next issue of the “Illustrated Library of Fairy Tales for Children and Adults” includes fairy tales by Eduard Laboulaye, unknown to our readers. The pamphlet-fairy tale “The Poodle Prince” is published in D. Pisarev’s translation based on a magazine publication in 1868. The text was no longer reproduced in any Russian publication. The amazing analogies and topicality of this fabulous satire should, in our opinion, amaze the attentive reader, although the great storyteller wrote all this more than a hundred years ago. The publication is richly illustrated with drawings reproduced from the Paris edition of the books “Blue Tales” and “New Blue Tales” by Eduard Laboulaye, as well as drawings by Yekaterinburg artist Anatoly Demin.
