An analysis of the anomalous effects observed during Kogalymavia flight 7K9268 on October 15, 2015 was carried out, and the causes of the tragic incident were considered. A model of external influence on the liner is proposed. The current of ion charges flowing through the global electrical circuit in the atmosphere and the earth's crust distorted the signals entering the on-board computer complex throughout the flight. In the vicinity of the plasma structure (the source of powerful disturbance of physical fields), the instrument readings in the cockpit did not correspond to the geomagnetic field at the spatial points accepted in the standard model. The computer received false signals that did not correspond to the Earth's field and issued inadequate commands to the actuators. While climbing, the plane approached the plasmoid at a dangerous distance, and an electrical discharge occurred. The liner was destroyed by an explosion of a plasma structure.
