“Without Fate” is the main work of the outstanding Hungarian writer, 2002 Nobel laureate Imre Kertesz. It was this novel, largely autobiographical, that brought the author world fame. A fifteen-year-old teenager from a prosperous Jewish family ends up in a Nazi concentration camp. How to endure this nightmare, how to remain human in hell? And most importantly - how to live later?
The novel by I. Kertesz is, first of all, a bitter, almost hopeless protest against intolerance, so widespread in the world, against theories that assert the legality, naturalness of the approach to representatives of whole nations as beings of a lower category who can be deprived of their rights, driven into ghettos, and destroyed.
