It is difficult to survive if you are six and a half years old and you are lost - first in a supermarket, then in the House of a Thousand Doors, behind each of which begins a path in a labyrinth of worlds, alien, hostile, nightmarish. The only hope is for “Uncle Edgar,” the adventurer and criminal who has settled in your mind. His invisible presence once almost drove you crazy, but you learned something useful. Do you want to return home to mom, dad, your toys, a warm bed and pleasant dreams? Well, that's unlikely. The uncle fell into a trap, trying to deceive the far from blind fate, and he pays cruelly for it. What does this have to do with you? A question that has no answer. Or, on occasion, ask it to a talking bird, in which the “settled” one also lives. One way or another, someone will have to take care of you - at least until the “worthless puppy” grows up and becomes a man capable of defending himself with a weapon in his hands. And then Uncle Edgar may finally take over your body. A disappointing prospect... But it is no less difficult to survive if you are twenty-seven and one day you have lost everything - your husband, your usual life, a familiar and generally cozy little world, the meaning and basis of existence. You find yourself in the middle of a black bridge spanning the void, and you discover an old, angry, domineering bitch inside of you. This is worse than the second "I". And much worse than schizophrenia. The old woman is the messenger of the mysterious Jokers, who put her life and the lives of other completely lost puppets on the line. And you are even less than a doll, you are just a “suit” that the old woman wears until another, more suitable one is found. What's left for you? Play by someone else's rules. And hope to beat another puppet of the Jokers - your former treacherous lover, to whom you have not forgiven anything and who is hiding in the body of a boy.
