The main character is one of the few surviving sighted people, forced to fight for survival in a world where, for reasons unknown to him, blind people dominate, whom he calls moles. His existence is an almost continuous flight. During his short life, he managed to lose his senior companion, who taught him everything he needed to survive, became his spiritual father and planted in his naive soul the seed of a dream of an earthly paradise for the sighted. Since then, his goal has been to leave the mainland inhabited by the blind and get to the island, where, according to legend, he can finally return to a “normal” existence. But on this path he will have to fight moles, sighted madmen, and also overcome numerous obstacles, including the intervention of otherworldly forces. A sighted child becomes the hero's companion against his will, whose delivery to a safe place is a condition for the assistance of the mystical order of the so-called Mothers of the Night...

Вражаюча алегорія на сучасність
Книга "Країна сліпих, або Побачити світ" вразила мене своєю глибиною та актуальністю. Автор створює унікальний світ, де зрячий герой змушений боротися за виживання серед сліпих, які символізують бездушність та байдужість суспільства. Ця алегорія на сучасність змушує задуматися про те, як ми сприймаємо реальність і що означає бути "сліпим" у нашому житті. Взаємини між персонажами, зокрема між головним героєм і зрячою дитиною, додають емоційної глибини та підкреслюють важливість надії та боротьби за краще майбутнє. Хоча текст перекладено з використанням штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків у формулюваннях, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю книги. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цінує літературу, що спонукає до роздумів і відкриває нові горизонти
