Ekaterina Polyanskaya lives in St. Petersburg. She began publishing in 1998 in the magazine “Neva”, and since then her poems have appeared in many Russian magazines, in the “Literary Gazette”. Author of four poetry collections. Winner of awards and competitions: “Pushkin Lyre” (New York, 2001), prize named after. A. Akhmatova (2005), competition named after. N. Gumilyov (2005), the Lost Tram competition, as well as the Lermontov Prize (2009). Translator of poetry from Polish and Serbian, for several years she has represented Russia at the international poetry festival “Warsaw Autumn”. Ekaterina Polyanskaya's poems have been translated into Polish, Bulgarian, Japanese, Czech and English.
