Bulgarian intelligence established that during a trip to Munich, engineer Karadzhov met with an unidentified person, after which he allowed himself to make expensive purchases. During interrogation, Karadzhov confessed. that he had contact with emigrant Andrei Goranov, who was once a fairly well-known Sofia businessman. Goranov was mainly interested in information of an economic nature. Bulgarian intelligence decided to immediately send their man to him with a letter of recommendation from Karajov. However, during the meeting it turned out that, firstly, Goranov did not show much interest in “a completely reliable and trustworthy person,” and secondly, he is not Goranov, although this is written on the sign of the house where he lives in Bern surname. The personality of Pseudo-Goranov is increasingly of interest to Bulgarian intelligence officers. It was decided to send Emil Boev to Switzerland. However, at the very beginning of the operation, he is left without a partner, who was (by accident?) in a car accident. And Emil Boev again has to rely only on his own strength.
