“Everything is red” - so aptly Joanna translated the name of the town of Allered in Denmark from Danish and, as they say, “scribbled.” The name turned out to be prophetic. At a fun party of Polish friends, a mysterious murder occurs. The unfortunate man tries to warn the owner of the house, Alicia, about something very important, but does not have time... Alicia becomes the target for a series of subsequent “unsuccessful” attempts. Having joined forces, Ioanna and Alicia use logic, passion and an excellent knowledge of human nature to find the killer. Of course, this book is not for fans of “cool” detective stories, although the number of “living” corpses is impressive. The novel primarily attracts the reader with its sparkling humor and irony. Joanna Chmielewska is able to discern irony and grotesquery in the most unusual situations. The novel “Everything is Red” is rightfully recognized as one of the most striking and dynamic works of the Polish writer.
