Han Shaogong 韓少功One of the most famous modern Chinese writers. Born in 1953 in Changsha (Hunan Province). The founder of the literary movement of “searching for roots.” Among the best works are the story “Papapa”, the novel “Maoqiao Local Dictionary”, the collection of essays “Southern Mountains and Northern Waters”, etc. “Maoqiao Local Dictionary” is recognized as one of the hundred best classical Chinese novels of the 20th century. The proposed collection includes novels and stories of the writer written in the 1980-2010s, most of which were translated into Russian for the first time.
