Publisher's abstract: The work of Saigyo, who lived in the bloody era of the formation of military feudalism in Japan, is characterized by motifs of grief. Poems about love full of tragedy, pictures of nature, and philosophical reflections make up the content of this book, famous in Japanese poetry. Abstract lib.rus.ec: “Mountain Hut” (“Sankashu”) - the name itself contains a deep and capacious meaning. A long scroll unfolds, and not only pictures of nature pass before us, but the whole life of the poet-wanderer. A mountain hut is a temporary shelter along the way. The mountains themselves are beautiful, but for the medieval Japanese they are inhabited by myths and legends, ancient gods live in them. For the reader, the introduction to the beautiful and indescribable began already with the title of the book. We see the mountain hut at all times of the day, night and day, at sunrise and sunset. Friends have forgotten the way to her, but sometimes you want to talk to someone you like. Especially in winter, when the snow covered all the paths. Poor villages are crowded around. People did not go into the mountain wilderness of their own free will; they are doomed to live here, in huts covered with grass. In the spring, when everyone is working in the fields, the voices of nightingales do not stop. Sometimes you can hear the voices of children, the shrill squeak of a straw whistle. But then the poet leaves his mountain hut to come to another... The chain of the tank lasts, as long as life itself.
