Despite the 20-year triumphant march of public relations technologies (known to the general public as PR) across Russia, most manuals and guides on PR in our country are still written by people who are very far from practice - teachers, former Komsomol workers, etc. And vice versa - those who spent these two decades in the thick of elections, information wars and high-profile PR projects practically do not write books. The exceptions can be counted on the fingers of one hand. General Director of the Agency for Mass Communications Region Media, Igor Dachenkov, is one of these exceptions. He is a direct participant and leader of more than 100 communication projects: election and PR campaigns in Russia, the post-Soviet space and abroad. The book offered to the reader contains articles that I. B. Dachenkov wrote as an expert at the request of various media and expert -analytical centers. The collection does not pretend to be didactic or comprehensive, but it is quite right to call it “essays on the recent history of PR.” The book will be useful not only to students and specialists, but also to a wide range of people whose interests include public relations issues.
