Saint Theophan (Govorov), the Recluse of Vyshensky (1815-1894) is a true torch of Orthodoxy. To this day, his works on the interpretation of the Holy Scriptures, ascetic works, spiritual letters, instructions and sermons enlighten human souls and direct them to salvation.

In the second volume of the trilogy “The Outline of Christian Moral Teaching”, which the saint compiled during his time life on the basis of his works, published in the magazine "Home Conversation", the books "The Path to Salvation", "Letters on Christian Life" and "Teachings" are included.

The "Path to Salvation" examines the degrees of development in us Christian life, “which by their nature can be called this: turning to God, self-correction, purification,” the saint wrote. “Letters on Christian Life” and “Teachings” contain advice, consolation in sorrows, instructions - the spiritual experience that the archpastor generously gave to those zealous for salvation.
