England, early 17th century. Fleetwood lives in an old family castle, she has been married for four years, but she and her husband still have no children. Desperate, she calls upon the mysterious girl Alice, whom she once met in the forest. Fleetwood believes that Alice knows what herbs to drink in order to carry and give birth to a healthy child. But soon a witch trial unfolds in the area, and Alice falls under suspicion. One of the proofs is that every witch has magical patron spirits, or familiars. Alice faces the gallows, but Fleetwood is trying to save her from a terrible fate. For this, she goes deep into the forest, where she faces her own fears and... amazing animals.
