Foreword by the editor of the Russian translation
The Organon by S. Hahnemann (1755-1843) is a fundamental work on homeopathy, which laid the foundations for this relatively young method of treatment. During his lifetime
five editions of the Organon were published. The author also prepared for publication
the sixth edition, but it was published almost seventy years after the author’s death thanks to
the efforts of the outstanding homeopath of the early 20th century, V. Boericke.
< p>The Organon was last published in Russian more than a hundred years ago: in1884 in Russia, the fifth edition was published in a brilliant translation by Dr. V. Sorokin
Organon." Meanwhile, in preparing the sixth edition, Hahnemann significantly reworked it, introducing changes and additions that had a significant impact on the theory and practice of homeopathy. In this form, which is closest to perfection, in the opinion of the author himself, the Organon is offered to readers for the first time in Russian.
I would like to hope that, following the Organon, they will be published in Russian and other
fundamental works on homeopathy and, first of all, the most important works of the
creator of the method.
