The book is dedicated to the last pages of the history of the northern crusaders - the Livonian branch of the German Order, which lived out its last days in the middle of the 16th century. The Order perished in the fire of local wars and internecine clashes. It was destroyed both from the inside, by rebel forces, and from the outside, unable to withstand the military and political pressure of neighboring states - the “young predators” of Europe (Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Russia). Could Livonia be saved? Did she have a chance to remain on the historical map? Who is to blame for the death of the order? Who was the traitor, who was the last Livonian knight? Which neighbor is more to blame for the death of the order - Russia, Poland or Sweden? Could Livonia resist aggression militarily? Read about this on the pages of the book.
