The system of political parties in the Russian Federation that emerged in the early 90s has exhausted itself. Parties genetically connected with the CPSU and with dissidents turned out to be incompetent in explaining the causes of the catastrophe of the Soviet system, and in understanding the nature of the crisis that struck the Russian Federation, and in developing a project for the future life order of Russia. The opposition, which opposed the destructive program of the Yeltsin regime, has largely fulfilled its historical task, and over time this role will be highly appreciated. But now, when the country has entered a new stage of a protracted crisis, a new generation is entering politics, which will have to find an answer to new challenges. This generation will develop a new language, a new vision of reality, new theoretical approaches and new principles of organization. Young people need to pass on the experience of the 90s, and above all the experience of mistakes and failures. For this purpose, the author selected articles from that period (mainly from the newspapers Pravda and Soviet Russia), in which he discusses theoretical issues with his comrades in the opposition.
