Can we forget the 60s of the last century, when our ice hockey team became the world and European champion nine times in a row! What a time it was! What a triumphant rise of national sports! The whole country enthusiastically repeated the names of the “ice heroes” V. Konovalenko, V. Starshinov, A. Firsov, A. Ragulin, A. Almetov. It was about them that the famous song “Cowards Don’t Play Hockey” was written in 1968. And in the 70s, they were replaced by a new generation of outstanding hockey players, including the legendary ice fighters V. Tretyak, V. Kharlamov, A. Yakushev, A. Maltsev, B. Mikhailov. These heroes were destined to cross clubs not only with amateurs, but also with professionals from the NHL, who for many years were considered invincible. It was the Soviet “ice heroes” who refuted this myth. This book is dedicated to them, the legends of Soviet hockey of the 60-70s, the idols of millions of fans.
