The book makes an attempt to significantly rethink the canonical ideas about the work of prominent English and American writers, replicated in literary criticism, such as O. Wilde, W. Wolfe, T. S. Eliot, T. Fisher, E. Hemingway, G. Miller, J. D. Salinger, J. Cheever, J. Updike and others. The proposed reading of their texts as evading an unambiguous interpretation allows the reader to discover new vectors of literary history of the 20th century that were previously unnoticed by research thought. And here special attention is paid to the problems of combating literary form as a type of repression, critical strategy of the text, recreating in the text the movement of incorporeal energy and the relationship of man with the things around him.
