The first book of works by Pyotr Nikolaevich Krasnov (1869-1947), a general, prose writer, publicist, representative of the first Russian emigration, includes the novel “Amazon of the Desert,” which tells about adventures at a Russian outpost in the mountains on the border with China, and the novel utopia "Behind the Thistle", which tells how a group of Russian emigrants went in search of a new Russia. The book also includes reviews from the emigrant press about the writer’s work. In the second book of essays, P.N. Krasnov’s novel “Understand - Forgive” is published for the first time in Russia.
