“Campo santo”, posthumous collection by V.G. Sebald, brings together everything that was not included in the writer’s other books - fragments of prose about Corsica, newspaper notes, texts of speeches, early editions of famous essays. Their common themes are the structure of memory and oblivion, our personal relationship with the past on top of the “big” historical narratives, and the ways that culture provides a person with resistance to non-existence.
