Роман «Злий дух Ямбуя» вражає своєю глибиною та реалістичністю, адже автор майстерно передає атмосферу сибірських просторів і викликів, з якими стикаються геодезисти. Автор вміло описує не лише фізичні, а й психологічні труднощі, з якими стикаються герої, що робить їх більш близькими і зрозумілими.
