Stepan dreamed of the sea. A light, serene wave rocked him. In the distance, seagulls were screaming heart-rendingly about something, but their cries did not irritate, but served as a harmonious addition to the wonderful landscape: mountains, the edge of the coast with yellow sand, schools of colorful fish in the depths and a beautiful yacht nearby. And on the yacht is Vera. She happily waves her hand at him and tries to say something. But he doesn't hear. He is busy hunting a sea monster. He has fins on his feet, a swimming mask on his face, scuba gear on his back, and a spearfishing gun in his hands. He is about to dive to shoot an octopus, a moray eel or a wild sea boar, but suddenly his attention is drawn from nowhere by a small and dirty coastal schooner.
