The monograph is devoted to the study of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit among the authors of the early Church (I-III centuries). The study includes chapters devoted to the doctrine of the Holy Spirit in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the pneumatology of the apostolic men (including the Didache and the Odes of Solomon "), liturgical pneumatology of the 2nd-3rd centuries, and a more general presentation of the pneumatological views of the authors of the 2nd-3rd centuries (St. Irenaeus of Lyons, Tertullian and Clement of Alexandria). As an appendix, a brief overview of the teachings about the Holy Spirit among the Gnostics and the teachings about pneuma among the Stoics is given . Of the church authors of the 1st-3rd centuries, more attention is paid to apologists as those early Christian writers who had the greatest influence on the formation of Christian theological terminology in the first centuries after the birth of Christ.
