The next book in the “World Heritage Monuments” series introduces the reader to the history of Kyiv, its architecture and artistic values. The format of the publication does not allow revealing all aspects of life in a city that has existed for more than 1,500 years. Therefore, the author limited himself to a brief history and a story about the most outstanding historical places and cultural monuments. Descriptions of the monuments are given in chronological order. In the book, the reader will also learn about how the appearance of Kyiv took shape, how its architectural ensembles arose, and to whom the city owes its glory and greatness.
