The book of the German philosopher Edmund Husserl “Cartesian Meditations” includes five reflections. The first three reflections briefly outline, with some changes and clarifications, the content of “Ideas of Pure Phenomenology.” Only the fourth and fifth reflections contain completely new material. In Cartesian Meditations, Husserl's transcendental phenomenology appears in its full and complete form. It is presented in the same form in “Formal and Transcendental Logic,” but the most fundamental provisions of the final stage of the development of pure phenomenology are most thoroughly and thoroughly developed in “Cartesian Meditations.”
