This publication, prepared by the leading researcher of the State Hermitage, art critic Oleg Yakovlevich Neverov, includes the infamous erotic sonnets “Love Positions” by Pietro Aretino translated into Russian for the first time and engravings made for them by the Italian master, Raphael’s student, Marcantonio Raimondi (XVI century). The album also contains masterpieces by other artists - both contemporaries of Raimondi and followers of the traditions of the great Italian masters, who were inspired by the long-suffering publication of Aretino-Raimondi's Love Positions.
