“Discourses” (1534), the famous work of Pietro Aretino, which is an erotically rich satire on modern mores, for a long time was classified as pornographic literature and, perhaps, therefore has not yet existed in Russian translation. The reader is invited the first Russian translation of the famous book, which has long become a classic of world literature. The translation is equipped with a detailed commentary and a detailed article introducing the reader to the bright figure of the author - the Divine Aretino, nicknamed by his contemporaries “The Scourge of Princes.”
