Southern Carpathians, Transylvania. XVI century. The Turkish army, having defeated the Hungarians near Mohács, rushes north to the capital of Austria - Vienna. Transylvania came under Turkish occupation, and the wealthy nobles of the principality recognized Sultan Suleiman as their overlord. Queen Isabella, until her son grew up, was forced to give the Sultan the crown of Hungary. In the Southern Carpathians, the people's avenger, Vashar Andor, nicknamed by the Turks and Transylvanian nobles, the Black Haiduk, acts against the Turks and magnates. Vashar is closely associated with Count Laszlo, a Transylvanian patriot who does not want to serve the King of Austria, Ferdinand I, and the corrupt rich of Transylvania. In 1551, Suleiman embarked on another campaign in Europe, with France as his ally against Austria. Count Laszlo and Countess Zsombor make a decision: not to let the Turkish troops pass through their lands to the north of Hungary. In a fierce battle, two fortresses were wiped off the face of the earth.
