The events described in the novel take place in Novosibirsk during the Soviet dictatorship, touching on the facts of mass repressions of 1937 in ZSK (West Siberian Territory) leading to the early 90s of the twentieth century. A difficult fate befell the young guy, who found himself the victim of a miscarriage of justice and experienced the brunt of the Soviet camps. For the sake of justice, he joined the secret organization Black Lightning. Disagreement with many views in the criminal environment and the rotten Soviet legal system forced him and his friends to fight injustice. Not a single rapist and murderer of young children who comes to the attention of the organization will escape a terrible sentence. It would seem that such a gloomy topic: “the world of the zone and crime,” but even in it there was a place for nobility, friendship and bright love. In the novel “The Path of Black Lightning” a lot is based on real events; if during the difficult times of perestroika there was such an organization as “White Arrow”, then “Black Lightning” was a pioneer in just, popular anger against corruption and banditry.
