Every event in his life is primarily connected with the football match of his beloved Arsenal, because he is a fan of all kinds, and there is no place for anything else in his life except football. The novel contains a lot of references to the history of games and championships of the second half of the 20th century, but, Despite this, the book will be of interest not only to fans. Indeed, in this example, the writer talks about the role of any hobby in the life of a modern person - on the one hand, having completely devoted himself to his favorite hobby, the hero begins to live more original and interesting than ordinary mortals, on the other hand, thanks to this passion he gets stuck in childhood and has difficulty making contact with other people. But his beloved Arsenal sometimes defeats their opponents, and the tamed football fever is much more invigorating. “Football Fever” is an attempt to take a critical look at his obsession; an attempt to explore what football means to us; this is a book about what it means to be a fan.
